They jumped in Doctor L's studio on a lazy sunday afternoon, and cooked with him a killer afrobeat version of Sly Stone's classic Family Affair! At the end of the day, this future classic was done and everything's in there: Fela-inspired vocals from the all-mighty Amayo, phat afro-broken beat, sweat horns and chorus vocals and the magic Doctor's touch on the production... A Strictly limited 45 was released on the Mind Service label, quickly selling out. Comes summer 2009, Martin Perna and Amayo visiting us in Paris, recording new tracks with either Grant Phabao or Doctor L, partying all together with Curumin... and a brand new mix of this famous Sly Stone cover cooked by Doctor L especially for Paris DJs!
